Rev. Donald Wayne "Donnie" Griner, 54, of Nashville died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Private family services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Rev. Griner was born on December 11, 1953 in Cook County and was the son of Huey Griner, Sr. and Grace Hancock Griner, both deceased. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Lenox Christian Fellowship.
Rev. Griner is survived by his wife, Songa Griner of Nashville; three daughters, Ajah Griner of Tifton, Leah Griner of Tifton and Robin Griner of Perry; a brother and sister-in-law, Huey Griner, Jr., better known as big brother "Man", and Patricia Griner of Jacksonville, Florida; and one grandchild, La'Shae Hamilton, known affectionately as "Papa's Hurricane".
