Obituary

James F. “Beansie” Reardon, a retired Firefighter for the City of Boston, passed away March 27, 2008 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He was 78 years old. He was the beloved husband of Mary L. (Kiely) Reardon.

Mr. Reardon was born in Boston and was the son of the late James A. and Cecelia (Donahoe) Reardon. He lived in both Dedham and Dennis for several years. A World War II, veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, he worked at the West Roxbury Fire Station with Engine 30 and Ladder 25. He was a member of the Firefighters Local No. 718, the Boston Fireman’s Relief Association, the Gaelic Brigade and the Florian Society.

He was the devoted father of Cecilia Marinucci and her husband John and James Reardon and his wife Gail of Dedham, Patricia Reardon of Dracut, Francis Reardon of Abington, Michael Reardon and his wife Dianna of Norwood and the late Patrick Reardon. Grandfather of Erin, John and Marissa Marinucci, Lisa, Jane, Kylee, Michael Dennis, Shea, and Michael Patrick Reardon. Brother of the late Francis X. Reardon.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
