Peter F. Leonard, 64, of Manchester, died March 27, 2008, at Catholic Medical Center, after a long illness.
He was born in Manchester, February 6, 1944, and was the son of Peter J. and Alice L. Leonard.
He received his early education at local schools, and later worked many years in the maintenance division of J. F.McElwain Shoe Company.
Peter will be remembered as an “ordinary man doing an extraordinary job”, having served two terms as a Representative to the General Court, and one term as a School Board member from Ward 3.
He was a member of the greater Manchester Jaycees, Boy Scout Troop 102, and a volunteer at the Palace Theater in Manchester.
Family members include 2 daughters, Dawn H. Barrett of Manchester, Heather M. Buequest, of Concord; a son, Keith R. Leonard, of Manchester; a brother, Donald Leonard, of Claremont; a grandson; 3 nephews; a grand niece. He was predeceased by his daughter, Candy Leonard.
Burial services were Wednesday April 2, 2008 in Pine Grove Cemetery.
