Fairhaven – Marie A. (Boucher) LeBoeuf, 93, of Fairhaven died March 24, 2008 at Our Lady’s Haven. She was the widow of Hervey J. LeBoeuf.
Mrs. LeBoeuf was born in Cohoes, New York, daughter of the late Edmond J. and Emma F. (Morin) Boucher. She resided at Dana Court, Fairhaven and spent her last 2 years at Our Lady’s Haven. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven. She worked at Aerovox for 25 years and later was employed by Cliftex for 10 years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
Mrs. LeBoeuf worked at the first World’s Fair in New York and was also crowned the queen in the 6th Greater New Bedford Senior Sweetheart Pageant. She did a lot of traveling in her lifetime including Paris as one of her prizes from the Sweetheart Pageant. She also held many citations, certificates, plaques and trophies from places such as the State House, City of New Bedford and the House of Representatives. She worked for many years with meals on wheels and as a foster grandparent and teacher’s aide for Coastline Elderly Services and a foster grandmother with handicapped children at the Kennedy Donovan Center.
Survivors include a daughter: Patricia A. Fernandes and her husband Antone; a son: Donald C. LeBoeuf; her grandchildren: Deborah A. Hogan, Lesleyanne Nadeau, Antone K. “Tony K.” Fernandes and his wife Joann, Bradford LeBoeuf, Tina LeBoeuf and Kimberly Machado; 5 great-grandchildren: Lynde, Justin and Matthew Nadeau, and Cassie and Stephen Hogan, Jr.; 9 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend:
A memorial service at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 4, 2008 at St. Mary’s Church, Fairhaven.
Interment in River-side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
