Obituary

Manchester-Ethel M. (Bugbee) Levesque, 93 of Manchester died March 25, 2008 at Harborside Northwood Health Care Center, Bedford.
She was born in Corinth, VT. On October 25, 1915 the daughter of Albert E. and Exelia (Fortia) Bugbee. She was raised in Newport , VT before moving to Manchester.
She was a community spirited woman. She served as President of the Women’s Guild at St. Francis of Assisi Church and also sang in the choir. She volunteered for over 20 years at the Elliot Hospital having been awarded Volunteer of the Year in 1985. She was also a volunteer for the Manchester Muchachos and the Boys and Girls Club. She and her husband were members of the Alpine Drum and Bugle Corps for many years. She was instrumental in organizing a Senior Citizen bowling league at Lakeside Lanes and was on the committee to restore Pine Island Pond after the dam broke.
Members of her family include her husband Ernest Levesque, 4 daughters Joni Salvas of Londonderry, Pamela Gallagher, Carol Boyle both of Manchester and Karen Salvas of Eaton, 2 sons Robert Salvas, Jr., Manchester and David G. Salvas of Amherst. 10 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren and 3 nieces.
IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by a sister Doris Tiami of Newport, NH.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St..
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield.
