Joseph E. Briere, age 84, of Dracut, formerly of Lowell, died on Sunday, March 23rd, 2008, at D'Youville Senior Care. He was the husband of the late Pauline L. (Levesque) Briere.
He was born in Lowell on August 3rd, 1923, son of the late Edouard & Mary (Brabant) Briere. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.
Prior to his retirement he was employed as an Inspector & Supervisor for 25 years at the Pellon Corporation.
He was also a communicant of St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish (St. Therese Church) in Dracut.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, & friends.
He was the father of the late Andrew Russell who died in 1980; and he was pre-deceased by his siblings.
There will be no Visiting Hours. Relatives & Friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Thursday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:00 AM at St Marguerite D'Youville Parish (St. Therese Church) on Lakeview Ave in Dracut. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
