Obituary

Worcester—Marion B. (Kay) Glavaris, 89, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, in Autumn Village. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Blanche (Peters) and Alfred F. Kay. She leaves a sister, Mildred Wheeler of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Veronica H. (Couming) Kay of Brookfield; 3 grandsons, Gerald R. Kay, II of California, Daniel Kay and his wife Emily of Worcester, and Jeffrey Kay of Brookfield; a granddaughter, Jennifer Conneilly and her husband Mike of Pepperell; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her son, Gerald R. Kay died in 2007.

Marion was a graduate of Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing and served with the Army Nurse Corps during WWII. She was a member of Covenant Methodist Church, Hahnemann Hospital Alumnae Association, Worcester Area Surgical Nurses, and TOPS.

A Memorial Service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Thursday, March 27, at 11 a.m. Burial of ashes will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton. For directions and on-line condolences, please click on link below.
