Lena A. Belrose 91, of 547 Clinton St. formerly of Providence St, died Saturday at home. She was the wife of the late Eugene P. Belrose. Mrs. Belrose was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Gilbert and Antoinette (Duplessis) Varieur. She was a spinner in several area textile mills, retiring in 1987. Mrs. Belrose was a member of the Kennedy Manor Association, a former member of the Royal Travelers and an avid bingo player.
Mrs. Belrose is survived by a daughter Georgette Oliveira of North Smithfield, two sisters Therese Morrissette of Woonsocket, and Madeleine Atangan of Oregon and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Albert Varieur and Annette Ayotte.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
