Margaret M. McDonald, 90, of Contryside Lane, North Scituate, a social worker for the State of Rhode Island before retiring in 1980 after 25 years, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Fatima Hospital. She was the widow of Robert F. McDonald.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary Ann (Gillooly) Dempsy. She was a resident of North Scituate for six years and had previously lived in Greenville.
She is survived by her daughter Maryann Grace and her husband, Gerald of North Scituate, and a grandson Robert W. Grace. She was the sister of the late Rev. Thomas J. Dempsey, Sr. Mary Leonora Dempsey, RSM and Catherine F. Lynch.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.
