Obituary

WORCESTER-Francoise M. (Fuente) Hogan, 80, of Worcester, died Sunday, March 23rd in the Lutheran Home. Her husband, Edward P. Hogan, died in 1978. She leaves a son, Thomas E. Hogan and his wife Karen of Worcester; three sisters, all of France; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Her daughter, Mariane Catherine Bourget predeceased her.

She was born in French Algeria, North Africa, the daughter of Francisco and Marion (Almos) Delafuentes and moved to Worcester when she was 17. Mrs. Hogan was employed by Worcester public schools as a language teacher for 22 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and its choir for over 40 years. Mrs. Hogan sang in the Worcester Chorus, the Father Chorus Corale and the Worcester Light Opera. She loved to travel and was an avid reader.


The funeral is Wednesday, March 26th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
