Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 11 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary Information

Miss Sheehan died Sunday February 16, 2003 at the Guardian Center after a period of failing health. She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Dineen) Sheehan. Born and raised in Brockton, she had been a life long resident of Brockton. Margaret was a graduate of St. Patrick School and a life long communicant of St. Patrick Church. She was secretary to Mayor Milton McGrath during his term as Mayor. She also worked for many years in the Welfare office in City Hall and transferred with the department when it came under the Commonwealth of MA. She was a member of The Twentieth Century Catholic Club. An avid bowler, she bowled on The Clubs team for over 50 years. She enjoyed baking Irish Bread and cookies and was known as the “cookie lady” by the younger family members. She also was avid reader.

She is survived by a sister, Sister Mary Lucina, SCN of South Boston and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the sister of the late Eileen Hanley, Anne O’Shea, Mary Kearns, Rev. William A. Sheehan, OMI and the Rev. John Sheehan, OMI.
