Obituary

Barbara A. (Campbell) Stephansky 75, died unexpectedly in her home Thursday March 20th. She was the beloved wife of F. David Stephansky.

Born and raised in Quincy she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Mary (Tobin) Campbell and a graduate of North Quincy High.

Barbara was a well known employee of Duval’s Pharmacy in Whitman for many years. She was noted for her singing and humming and her kids were always able to find her in the store by following her singing. She loved to read, quilt and do puzzles.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children; Ellen Brown and her husband David of Wareham, Michael Stephansky and his wife Paula of VA, Eric Stephansky and his wife Theresa of Tacoma, WA, Mark Stephansky and his wife Carol of Whitman, Chris Stephansky and his wife Karin of FL, and Lisa Blakeman and her husband Jim of Plymouth, her brothers James Campbell of Weymouth, Frederick Campbell of NH and Robert Campbell of Braintree, 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward Campbell, Helen Flynn, Joseph Campbell and Jean Murphy.

Her funeral service will be held Friday March 28th at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass @ 10 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Thursday March 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
