Obituary

SALEM- Geraldine P. (Cook) Birtcher, 64,of Salem, wife of the late Curtis Birtcher, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 in the Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem, following a short illness.

Born in Essex, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lucille (Spinney) Cook.

Mrs. Birtcher was employed in the Sears Credit Office for several years prior to her retirement due to blindness.

A graduate of Gloucester High School in 1956, she was a resident of Essex until moving to Salem 12 years ago. She was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Salem.

She is survived by one son, Alan H. Jackman of Salem, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Clifton Parady of Ft Myers, Florida, Evelyn and Stan Leaman of Essex, one niece, four nephews and her many friends at the Wesley Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at a time in June tol be announced by the family, through the Wesley United Methodist Church in Salem, and by the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home at www.SalemFuneral.com.
