GLOUCESTER: Yvonne Laura (Berrett) Leveille, 60, beloved wife of Clarence “Skip” W. Leveille, Jr. passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on the evening of March 19, 2008 on Blake Court in Gloucester. Yvonne and Skip had shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Stoneham on May 28, 1947, she was the daughter of Kathryn (Meehan) Berrett of Plaistow, NH and the late Ralph E. Berrett, Jr. She attended Stoneham schools and was a graduate of the Stoneham High School class of 1965. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Yearbook, Newspaper Staff, and a Majorette. She continued her education at Salem State College and North Shore Community College. She was extremely intelligent and was a positive person that had a strong influence on her family and friends. She had a good sense of humor. She worked at The Tavern in Gloucester, the Gloucester Co-operative Bank, and most recently in the accounting department at Analogic in Peabody.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Jeannet M. Brown and her husband Eric of Sanford, ME, her son Brandon W. Leveille and his wife Heidi of Berwick, ME, a granddaughter, Hannah K. Brown of Sanford, ME, a sister, Michelle (Berrett) Sykes and her husband, Carl of Plaistow, NH; a brother, Ralph E. Berrett, III and his wife, Patricia of Billerica, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her son, Matthew E. Leveille.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church, 76 Pleasant Street, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday afternoon in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester from 2 – 6 p.m. Interment will be held in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
