FRANKLIN—Charles D. Croci 94, of Franklin, died Tuesday March 18, 2008 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Josephine M. (Arcaro) Croci who died in 1999.
Born February 14, 1914 in Franklin, a son of the late Pietro and Carolina (Calderoni) Croci, he was a life long resident of Franklin.
Educated in Franklin schools, he worked for the former American Felt Company as a textile worker until his retirement in 1978.
Mr. Croci was a United States Army veteran who served during WW11 and attained the rank of private, and was an expert marksman and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens and the American Association of Retired Persons and was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
He is survived by a sister Elsa Landi of Italy and several nieces and nephews in the Franklin area.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral with military honors on Saturday March 22, at 8:45AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a Funeral Blessing in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
