Stephen J. Cirelli, of Brockton, formerly of Abington, died Wednesday, March 19, after a period of failing health.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of Alfreda (Brett) Cirelli of Rockland and the late Joseph L. Cirelli, Sr.
Stephen grew up in Abington and was a graduate of Abington High School where he played percussion in the high school band. He was also a graduate of Thomas College in Maine and was a member of the Kappa Delta Phi NU Chapter.
He was a valued employee of the family business, Cirelli Foods, Inc.
He loved sports, especially the Red Sox, theatre, and music. He also enjoyed activities at the Life Center for the Disabled.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Joseph L. Cirelli, Jr. of Rockland, his sisters, Lisa Wilkinson and her husband, Kevin, of Abington, Michelle Cirelli of Nantucket, and Linda Loffert and her husband, David, of New York, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and 1 great nephew.
His funeral will be held Saturday March 22nd at 12 Noon in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9-12.
