WORCESTER____Daniel Carl Wassel, 61, of 1050 Main St., died Saturday February 15 in his home.
He leaves a son, Daniel C. Wassel of Seattle, Washington; a daughter, Nicolle K. Melanson of Southborough; two brothers, Frederick P. Wassel of Worcester; Stephan P. Wassel of Arlington, Virginia; a sister, Eugenia P. Wassel of Worcester; his former wife, Kathleen Walsh of Southborough; two grandchildren and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Paul and Eugenia (Brzezinski) Wassel and lived here all his life.
Mr. Wassel was self employed as a packer in the moving and storage industry for many years.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam war serving as a Sergeant in Germany.Mr. Wassel was graduated from Commerce High School.He was a skilled leather craftsman.
The funeral will be held on Thursday February 20 from Henry - Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St.,with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
