Deolinda (Rodrigues) "Duduca" Santos, 46, of Pawtucket died February 15, 2003 at home after a long illness.
She was the daughter of Maria (Baptista) Mendes of New Bedford.
Deolinda was born in Brava, Cape Verde and lived in Boston, New Bedford and Pawtucket most of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Deolinda was employed as a home health aide for several years.
She enjoyed travel.
Survivors include her mother; 2 sons, John A. Rodrigues of Pawtucket, RI and Nathaniel B. Rodrigues of New Bedford; a daughter, Oreanne M. Rodrigues of Pawtucket; 3 brothers, Joseph Mendes, Jezuino Mendes and Adelino Mendes, all of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Adelina Teixeira of Brockton and Maria Mendes of New Bedford; 6 grandchildren, John, Jr., Charles, Xavier, Jonae, Isaac and Alexis; several nieces and nephews.
She was the step-daughter of the late Manuel Mendes and granddaughter of the late Julia DaLomba.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordWednesday, February 19th at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, February 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to her family.
