Wayne DePriest Wayne DePriest, 72, Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at Clarksville First Baptist Church Faith Sanctuary with Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and from noon until the time of the service Thursday at the church. A Masonic service will be held 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born May 22, 1935 in Joelton, TN son of the late Cohen B. DePriest, Sr. and Ruby Bogard DePriest. He was an active member of Clarksville First Baptist Church, a past master of Clarksville Masonic Lodge #89 and a York Rite Mason, the past president of the Rotary Club, and treasurer of the Housing Authority. Mr. DePriest was retired operations manager for Cumberland Electric Membership Corp. He is survived by his wife Nancy Vaden DePriest; a son Herman Wayne DePriest, Nashville; daughters, Charlsie Lankford (Jamie) Clarksville; and Aim-ee Jo Watson (George), Clarksville; a brother Cohen Byard DePriest, Dunnellon, FL/ Clarksville; a sister, Faye DePriest Dunn (Harry), Clarksville; and five grandchildren, Will Lankford, Abby Watson, Gage Watson, Geoffery DePriest, and Jason DePriest; and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Harry Lee Dunn, Larry Watson, Troyce Hogan, David Marshall, Larry Richardson, Ed Evans, and Bart Lynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Adel Saleh, AD Caldwell, the Spencer Johnson Sunday School Class Members, and CEMC employees.
