Obituary

Worcester—Oliver S. McBride, 78, died Monday, March 17, 2008, in his home surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Pearl (Krikorian) McBride, a son, Peter M. McBride of Northborough, a daughter Karen A. and her husband David Croci of Fitchburg; a brother-in-law, Paul Krikorian of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Anne Paelian; a grandson, Joshua McBride of Northborough, several nieces and nephews. A son, Daniel died in 1994. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI, son of William and Rachel (Potter) McBride. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High and Boston University. He was a mechanical engineer with Raytheon Co. for many years. Oliver was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, the Boston University Alumnae,and NEDDMA. In his younger years, Oliver was a star football player with the state-champion Mt. Pleasant (Michigan) Oilers.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 9:30-10:30 Wednesday morning in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street.
