Thomas C. Lightfoot, Jr. was born August 18, 1922 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Thomas C. Lightfoot, Sr. and Mary Love Lightfoot. He was preceded in death by his sisters Louise Crutcher and Olive Lightfoot and his brother Moses Lightfoot, Sr.
During the year of 1967 when attending a religious gathering of Jehovah's Witnesses, Thomas Lightfoot symbolized his dedication to do God's will by being baptized. Over the years he grew in his relationship with Jehovah God and served as a congregation elder for over 30 years until his death.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Horton Lightfoot; daughters Sandra L. Carter and her husband Robert and Pamela L. Brazelton and her husband Larry all of Huntsville, AL; four grandsons, Weldon Ragland and his wife Charlie Mae, Stacy Brazelton and his wife Renee, Marcus Brazelton and his wife Leslie and Skyler Brazelton all of Huntsville, AL; four grand daughters, Monique Brown and her husband James of Georgia, Robin Betts and her husband Alfie of Indiana, Erika Cleveland and her husband Jason of New York and Ashley Pugh and her husband Danny of Huntsville, AL; eight great grandchildren, Christopher and Britney Ragland, Monet Singleton, Chelsea Gay, Ari Brazelton, Kaliyah Lavine, Andre and Brooklyn Betts and Bryce Brazelton.
Funeral services for Mr. Lightfoot will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 2820 Winchester Road with Brother Donald F. Diekman officiating. Interment will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens at Highway 431 South, Owens Cross Roads, AL.
