WORCESTER-Cleopatra A. (Zissis) Gourousis, 92, of 110 Osceola Avenue formerly of 177 Highland Street died Friday, February 14th in Holden Nursing Home. Her husband, Anastassios S. Gourousis died in 1967. She leaves a son, Simeon A. Gourousis of Worcester; a daughter, Frene N. Haidusis of Worcester; 2 grandchildren; several nephews and nieces in Greece. A brother, Spyridon D. Zissis predeceased her.
She was born in Plession, Epiros, Greece the daughter of Dimitrios and Evgenia (Risvanis) Zissis moving to Worcester in 1937. Mrs. Gourousis was a homemaker in her own home. She was an active member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society and the Senior Citizen’s Association.
The funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, 01609-1908.
