Obituary

Mr. Peter Ernest Lemke, a forty year resident of Danvers and beloved husband of Margaret Anne “Peggy” (Dentino) Lemke, died at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Thursday evening, March 13, 2008. He was 69 years old.
Born in Buffalo, New York, on January 29, 1939, he was the beloved son of the late Ernst and Clara (Gosdeck) Lemke. Mr. Lemke was a graduate of Bentley College, class of 1962. He was employed most recently by Millipore Corporation as a Credit Collector and stayed with the company for more than ten years. Peter was a softball pitcher with the Lanno Sea Grill in Watertown for many years, winning many trophies with the team in the 1970’s. In his spare time, Peter enjoyed photography and fishing. Above all, He was a real family person and was a wonderful husband, father and friend to all.
Besides his beloved wife, Peggy, he will be sorely missed by one daughter and one son-in-law; Stephanie A. and her husband Peter J. Reed of Danvers, one son; Peter Marc Lemke of Danvers, one sister; Arlene Dohn of Indiana, one sister-in-law; Theresa Hall of Worcester and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass was celebrated in Peter’s memory on Monday, March 17, 2008, at 10 AM, in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant Street, Danvers. Interment was private.
