Claire L. (Boisvert) St. Onge, age 76, of Westford, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Westford House Nursing Facility following a lengthy battle with cancer. For 56 years, she was the beloved wife of Donald R. St. Onge.
She was born in Lowell on August 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Walter and Louse (Milliard) Boisvert. She attended the former St. Joseph Grammar and St. Joseph High Schools.
Claire worked in various dress shops in the Lowell area in her youth. Her career also involved working as a nursing assistant at Tewksbury Hospital and The VNA Hospice of Greater Lowell. Claire also worked as an assembler with MAACOM Assoc. and also as a cashier for Market Basket.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her extended family. Claire also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time at the beach. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald E. and Margaret St. Onge of Hudson, NH and Richard St. Onge of Nashua; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Stephen Flynn of Lowell; four grandsons, David and Jeffrey St. Onge of Hudson, NH, Michael St. Onge of Nashua and Matthew St. Onge of Dracut; a sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Donald Christian of Lowell; two brothers-in-law, Edmond Rocheleau of Lowell and Raymond St. Onge of Vaughn, Montana; also several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Sunday, March 16 from 4 to 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9am at St. John the Evangelist Church, N. Chelmsford. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
