F. Robert Heinzmann, 78 of West Melbourne, Florida and formerly of Franklin died March 14 in Melbourne following a long illness. He was the husband of A. Lola (Cea) Heinzmann.
Born in Union City, New Jersey, August 14, 1929, the son of the late Frank J. and Augusta (Tiefenbronner) Heinzmann, Mr. Heinzmann was raised in Union City and had lived in Franklin from 1965 until four years ago when he moved to Florida.
Mr. Heinzmann was a graduate of Seton Hall University.
He had been a regional sales manager for General Motors – Chevrolet Motor Division for over 20 years.
Mr. Heinzmann served in the Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Teresa Wilber and her husband, Bob of Franklin, Patricia Murphy and her husband, David of Northboro, Roberta DeDonato and her husband, Mark of Easton, Lola Gallagher of Melbourne, FL, Tara Fitzpatrick and her husband, Ed of North Attleboro, Donna Martin and her husband, Michael of Gilbert, Arizona and Bobby Heinzmann and his wife, Penny of Needham.
He is also survived by his brothers, Francis of Williamsville, NY, Joseph of Fisher, Indiana and his sisters, Augusta Burke of Chatham, NJ and Joan Inzerillo of Spring Lake Heights, NJ.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 18 from 4-8 p.m.
