Loretta C. Rogers, 83, of Lake Village Apartments, 765 Union Avenue died February 14, 2003 in the Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Lowell MA on January 12, 1920, the daughter of Hermengilde and Blanche (Falardeau) Paquette. She moved to Laconia with her family at a very early age.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at LaFlamme’s Bakery and then for many years at the Goody Good Donut Shop.
In her younger years she was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Pheasant Ridge Country Club, Pine Meadows and Scenic Golf Course. In addition she has enjoyed playing cards with her fellow residents at Lake Village Apartments.
Family members include two daughters, Beverly MacQuarrie and her husband James of Sanbornton, Jane Allen and her husband, Walter of Laconia; a son, John Rogers and his wife, Darlene of Laconia; eight grandchildren, Michael Ciampi of Laconia, Jackie Wagner of Moultonboro, Tessa Stevens of Laconia, Trina Dawson of Manchester, Therrin Allen of Manchester, Brandy Rogers of Portland ME, Ryan Rogers of Plymouth and Cady LeBlanc of Fairfax VT; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Linda.
Calling hours were in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. on Sunday from 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. on Monday at 11:30 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor was the celebrant. Spring burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, 780 N. Main St., Laconia NH 03246. Timothy C. Molan and David L. Furber are the funeral directors.
