Obituary

Margaret M. DeCourcey, a linguist of Washington, D.C., died on March 10th, of a Stroke at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, VA. She was 73. A Medford native, she graduated from Tufts University in 1955 and Radcliffe College in 1957. She recently celebrated her 50th anniversary as a translator for a government agency. She was the daughter of the late Anna C. (Clark) and Charles A. DeCourcey and the sister of the late Charles A. DeCourcey, Jr. She leaves many cousins in the Boston area and throughout the country. She made frequent trips back to New England to visit with the friends and many relatives she was devoted to. She was a participant in many activites in the Washington area, particularly Holy Trinity Parish in Georgetown. Funeral from the A.J. Breslin & Son Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Tuesday March 18th at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 75 Kneeland St, 8th Floor, Boston, MA 02111.
