Obituary

Mr. Frederick B. Huntington, a 15 year resident of Somerville, died at the Somerville Hospital on Thursday, March 6, 2008. He was 65 years old.
Born in Eugene, Oregon, on May 30, 1942, he was the beloved son of the late Edwin C. and Helen (McAlister) Huntington. He was a Vietnam Marine Veteran, entering the military on March 5, 1963 and receiving his honorable discharge on February 28, 1967. While in the Marines, Mr. Huntington attained the rank of Sergeant, Grade E5. Mr. Huntington had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very kind hearted person. He loved to cook, especially Chinese Food for his family and friends. He was also an avid reader and loved genealogy. He even traced back more than seven generations of his own family. Mr. Huntington was also a volunteer for the AIDS Action Committee.

He will be sorely missed by his partner, Robert A. Donahue of Somerville and his two nephews and one niece; Max, Wade and Kathy Bell, whom he raised following his sisters death.

His Memorial Service was celebrated in the First Community United Methodist Church, 55 Otis Street, Medford, Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 3 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. For additional information, please visit www.magliozzifuneralhome.com.
