Obituary

Louise Sutton Lee, 89, of Tifton died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Chris Ramsey will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Vance, Will Buster Hutchinson, Berry Chandler, Wes Shannon, Bill Brimberry, Dave Warren, Donald Massey, Lonnie Tyler and James Kinchen. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Morris Davis, Edd Paulk, Murris Sutton, Jr., Dana Sutton, Emil Sutton, Henry Sutton and Bob Girtman. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 14, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Lee was born on October 20, 1918 in Tift County and was the only child of Will Sutton and Jewell Hutchinson Sutton, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cobb Lee, who passed away on May 10, 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the McCord Sunday School Class, of which she was a past treasurer. She was also past treasurer of Trinity United Methodist Women, Trinity Church Altar Fund, the Charlotte Carson United Daughters of the Confederacy, but had to resign these positions because of her health. She was also a member of the Charlotte Carson Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy; the Tallahassee Chapter of the Daughters of the Revolution; the Tift County American Legion Auxiliary-Unit 21; the Tift County Golden Age Club; and the First Methodist Club 55.
Mrs. Lee is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Henry Wideman Lee and his wife, Ann, of Butler; one daughter, Sarawill Lee Bellamy of Perry; six grandchildren and their spouses, Will and Wendy Bellamy of Bonaire, Dan Bellamy of Perry, Bob and Becky Lee of Tifton, and Beth Lee Garner and her husband, Hamilton, of Moultrie, Pam and Joey Matt of Tifton, and Laura and Reid Griffin of Augusta; and ten great grandchildren, Jackson Cobb Lee of Tifton, John Austin Lee of Tifton, Griffin Thomas Lee of Tifton, Brandon Bellamy of Bonaire, Robert Chandler Garner of Moultrie, William Hamilton Garner of Moultrie, Molly Griffin of Augusta, Peyton Matt of Tifton, Will Matt of Tifton and Ben Matt of Tifton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
