Obituary

(Ret. Captain BFD & MA State Trooper) of Allston died peacefully in his sleep on March 11, 2008. He was in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (MacDonald). Devoted father of Richard and his wife Ruth of Avon, Marian of Allston, Roderick and his wife Jean of Waltham and Joan Beaton of Allston. Devoted grandfather of the late Lori J. McLane of Waltham, Meghan Beaton , John Beaton both of Allston, Maureen Morrissey, Sheila Crane both of Avon John F. McLane, Scott B. McLane both of Brockton, Michael S. McLane of Dracut, Kevin P. McLaneof Walpole, Keith E. McLane of Waltham. .Great grandfather of Heather, Christine and Jennifer Crane of Avon, Brian, Sarah, and Jason McLane of Dracut and Dylan, Julia, and Carissa McLane of Walpole. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Devoted son of the late John J. and Sarah (O’Hara) McLane. Brother of the late Fred McLane, Dorothy Sherry, Leona McLane, Newell McLane, Mary Gilbert Hilliard and Herbert McLane. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Lehman & Reen Funeral Home Saturday March 15th at 9 am. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Church 43 Holton Street Allston at 10 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hrs. Friday March 14th from 4-8 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
