Obituary

GLOUCESTER: John M. D’Antonio, 56, of 3 Shepherd Street died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital. He was the husband of Valerie L. (Swift) D’Antonio. They had shared thirty-four years of marriage.
Born in Gloucester on July 14, 1951, he was the son of Anna (Putaansuu) D’Antonio and the late Ralph D’Antonio. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1971.
John was employed at the former Cape Ann Tool Company from the time of his graduation, until its closing. He then worked at Gloucester Graphics until leaving due to illness.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, John Charles “J.C.” D’Antonio, his siblings, Terri Hilshey, David, Anthony, Peter and Paul D’Antonio and Jackie Silva. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be joining his departed father and sisters, Mary Parisi and Sylvia Thorndike.
There will be a private celebration of John’s life at a later date. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Cape Ann Animal Aid, 260 Main St., Gloucester.
