Emelyn F. “Pat” Wheatley, 82, of St. Joseph St., formerly of Chateau Clare, died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Wheatley.
Born in Medford, MA., she was a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Goss) Carmo. She was raised in Franklin, and lived in Woonsocket for many years. She also resided in Florida for 20 years.
Mrs. Wheatley was a homemaker. Pat was an avid reader and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas F. Wheatley, of Pawtucket, James M. Wheatley, and his wife, Suzanne, of FL., Robert A. Wheatley, of Woonsocket, two daughters, Jane F. Sweeney, and her husband, Francis, and Patricia A. Wheatley, both of Woonsocket. She was the sister of Elizabeth Wilson, of Bellingham, Isabelle Hussong, of FL, and the late Albert and Christopher Carmo, Charlotte Lyden, Dorothy Jones, and Jane Nausti. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Calling hours are omitted.
