N. OXFORD-William J. Brown, 73, died Wednesday, March 5th in St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Alice M. (O’Gorman) Brown; a son, William P. Brown of Thompson, CT; a daughter, Maryellen A. Brown of W. Boylston; three grandchildren, Krystle Robert and Caitlin and Bethany Dobson. He also leaves a brother James Brown of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Jean Rudik of Spencer and Katheryn Orrell of E. Douglas, many nephews and nieces. A brother John Brown predeceased him
He was born in Worcester son of John J. and Hilda (Rogers) Brown and has lived in N. Oxford for most of his life. Mr. Brown was a truck driver for Drake Petroleum for twenty years. He was a member of St. Ann’s Church and the Knight’s of Columbus Post 4241 in N. Oxford.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 14th in St. Ann’s Church, 654 Main St., N. Oxford. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.
