Obituary

Lantz, Marion L. (Messier) of Falmouth, a former long time resident of Marshfield, March 9, at the age of 91. Wife of the late Lloyd Lantz. Dear mother of Richard Lantz of Hope, ME., Philip Lantz and his wife Lorraine of Duxbury, Barbara Gilbert and her husband Robert of Duxbury and Linda Fletcher and her husband E. Neville of The Villages, FL. Grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Sister of the late Marie Amy Haines. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marion was born and raised in Brockton, MA. At the age of 17 she married Lloyd Lantz and settled in Marshfield. While in Marshfield they owned Lantz poultry Farm on Union St and for a time raised chickens for the army during WW II. Marion and her husband were also the caretakers for the Elizabeth Bradford Estate for many years. She worked many years as a Nurses Aid and for 16 years volunteered at a cruelty for children organization in Duxbury. Marion was an excellent cook and enjoyed crafting.
A Funeral Service will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) Marshfield on Wednesday at 9:00 AM.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 to 8 pm.
Interment will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Marshfield.
