HASTINGS, Maryann E., age 49 of River Edge, formerly of Blooming Grove, New York after a long battle with breast cancer died March 9, 2008, surrounded by her family. Loving daughter of Maryann F. & John P. Hastings of Washingtonville, New York. Dear sister of Joseph and sister in law, Jan, Kathleen Blessing, Joan Newman, Patricia, William and sister in law, Adele, Margaret Porta, Cecelia Alsdorf and brother in law, Wayne, Geraldine Pierri and brother in law, Michael, George and Nancy. Cherished Aunt of Sean, Ryan, Melinda, Christopher, Rhiannon, Tyler, Brittney, Alec, Jordan, Michael, Thomas, Christina and John Peter. Loving and devoted friend of Julia LeMon Burmeister. Maryann was predeceased by her nephew, Scott M. Blessing.
Maryann was employed at Alpine Associates in Cresskill, New Jersey as a research analyst for eleven years. She was a wonderful devoted sister and a friend to all. Maryann was well traveled and enjoyed the finer things in life. She gave to all from her heart unconditionally.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, 10:30AM at St. Peter the Apostle RC Church, River Edge, New Jersey. Friends and family are invited to visit from 2–4 pm and 7–9 pm on Wednesday March 12, 2008 at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, New Jersey 07649.
