Funeral services for J. Larry Lambert, 67, of Ashburn will be held Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Life Presbyterian Church in Tifton with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Lambert died Saturday at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Lambert was born in Worth County, Ga. and was the son of the late Jesse M. and Davie “Dutch” White Lambert. He had resided most of his life in Turner County. He was a retired District Claims Manager for Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He was a past President of the Middle Georgia Claims Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the New Life Presbyterian Church in Tifton. His hobbies included traveling and reading.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Enniece Coleman Lambert of Ashburn, Ga. and one daughter Holly Lambert of Bloomington, Illinois. He is also survived by one sister, Viola L. Hill of Atlanta, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the New Life Presbyterian Church in Tifton.
