Mr. Ralph Giallanella Sr. 89, of Medford died Thursday in the Golden Living Center Lexington following a lengthy illness. Husband of the late Angela (Coppola) Giallanella.
Mr. Giallanella was born and educated in Boston, son of the late Giusseppe and Carmella (Salerno) Giallanella. He was truck driver the Boston Herald for over 30 years. Mr. Giallanella was a retired member of the Teamsters Local #259.
He is is the father of Ann Bernabei and her husband Frank of Burlington, Joseph Giallanella and his wife Elizabeth of North Andover, Ralph Jr. and his wife Margaret Giallanella of Methuen. Loving grandfather of Jared Bernabei. Dear brother of Emily Tauro of Cambridge and the late Delmarzia Mesiti and Antoinetta DeCicco. Funeral from Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 10:30 AM. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11 am Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 – 10:30AM..Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
