Maurice S. Stuart, age 84 of Fall River, Passed away March 6, 2008 in Fall River. Husband of Cecilia (Dootson) Stuart of 62 years. Born in Freedom, NH, son of the late Harvey D. & Laura M. (Smith) Stuart. He was a resident of Fall River since 1991, previously of NJ, NC, & PA. Before retiring, he was a Broadcaster & Writer for radio & television. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II, a member of the Church of the Ascension, & a member of the Fall River Republican Party Club.
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by one sister: Alice M. Stuart of Belaire, MD. & one niece & nephew. He was the brother of the late Perry H. Stuart.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Tuesday at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral service in Church of the Ascension, Rock St. at 10 A.M. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling Hours Monday 5-8 P.M. Flowers are welcome or donations to the Church of the Ascension Altar Guild Fund.
