Walter W. “Chubby” Glasko of Chestnut Hill Road died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Janice (Ducharme) Glasko. They were married 47 years.
Born in Burrillville, he was a son of the late Walter and Mary (Murray) Glasko. He had been a lifelong resident of Glocester. He was a Korean Air Force Veteran.
He retired as a self-employed carpenter. He had previously worked at Henry H. Lewin Company. He was a member of the Chepachet Fire Department and the Glocester Ambulance Corps for 22 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Luke, Andrew, and Daniel Glasko all of Glocester and James Glasko of Bolton Landing, NY., six grandchildren and a brother Charles Glasko of Harrisville. He was the father of the late Kyle C. “K.C” Glasko and brother of the late Bruce and Wanda Glasko, Aline Jackson and James Leonard.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Glocester Food Bank, Glocester Town Clerk, P.O.
