Philip I Cassidy 97Philip I Cassidy, a life long resident of Needham died on Monday Feb. 10th at the Masonic home in Charlton, MA. Mr. Cassidy a retired greens keeper, having worked at the Needham Golf Club and the Weston Country Club. He was an active member of Nehoiden Lodge AF&AM of Needham, The Needham Friends Society, Needham Retired Men’s Club, Rotary International, The Christ Episcopal Church of Needham and the Needham Senior Center. Beloved husband of the late Viola (Lindoff).HE was the dear father of Joan E. Gallagher of St. Petersburg FL, Charles P. Cassidy of Linden TN and Linda M. Marsh of Colorado Springs Co. Brother of Robert Cassidy of Weston, Shirley Young of Needham and the late Willia Jeffrey, W. Ansel Cassidy, Melvin Cassidy, Chester E Cassidy, Gladys Cassidy and Marjorie Sousa. Loving Grandfather of Robert, Deborah, Thomas, Beth and Barbara Gallagher, Carrie, Jennifer, Barbara Jean Marsh, William Cassidy, Christopher McGee and Crystal McGee. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 15, 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel, 1132 Highland Avenue Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Friday from 4-7 P.M. Masonic services will be at 7:00 PM. Private interment will be at Needham Cemetery.
