Annie Pearl Sullivan was born in Monroe County on October 5, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Simon and Josephine McCord. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2008.
She confessed hope in Christ at the age of 12 and united with the Saint Paul Baptist Church of Uriah, Alabama. She later joined the Shiloh Baptist Church of Frisco City, Alabama. She moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1971 and united with Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church under the then pastorship of Reverend Robert Blackburn and served faithfully until her health failed.
She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her homegoing beloved and devoted sons: Andrew and Nyoka Walker, Julius and Bernice Walker, Eugene and Tearie Leslie all of Huntsville, Alabama, and Marvin and Jennifer Sullivan of Jacksonville, Florida; beloved and devoted daughters; Dorothy Sullivan of Madison Alabama, Ada Phipps and Quedell Moore of Huntsville, Alabama; nine grandchildren, Carlos Walker, LaFerrel Walker, Cedric Jones, Tracy Walker, Andrea Walker, Andreana Walker and Jonathan Sullivan all of Huntsville, Alabama and Ashley Sullivan of Jacksonville, Florida; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Pearl Sullivan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from the Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Endia Scruggs officiating and Reverend Walter Pride as Eulogist. Interment will be in Madison Memorial Gardens. The remains of Mrs. Sullivan will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
