Mr. Theodore Stopyra, age 58, of Dracut, died on Wednesday, March 5th 2008, at Town & Country Nursing Center in Lowell following a brief illness.
He was born in Poland on August 12th, 1949, beloved son of Janina (Skiba) Stopyra of Lowell, and son of the late Julian Stopyra.
He was employed as a foreman for many years at Freudenberg.
He was also a communicant of the holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church in Lowell.
According to the family, he enjoyed woodworking and home improvement, playing cards, cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with family.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Peter & Natalie Stopyra of Merrimack, NH; a daughter & son-in-law: Marsha & Eric Paquette of Dracut; a grandson, Pheonyx Stopyra; a brother, Andrew Stopyra of Lowell; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Edward Stopyra and Emil Stopyra.
Visiting Hours will take place on Sunday at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, from 2 to 5pm. Funeral Monday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10am at Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church, 340 High St., Lowell. Committal Prayers to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery Chapel. Spring Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
