Obituary

Frederick H. Hobart, of Plymouth, died on March 4th at the age of 79, at Jordan Hospital. Mr. Hobart is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Dorothy “Dot” (Jackson) of Plymouth, his sons John Bagley of Georgia and Steven Hobart of Alabama. He also leaves his 7 grandchildren: Justin, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Michelle, Ashley, Sara and Ryan Hobart. He is the father of the late Michael Hobart. Mr. Hobart was born in Woburn to the late William and Genevieve (Coupal) Hobart. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflit, he has lived in Plymouth for the past 10 years coming from Quincy. Mr. Hobart was a machinist for Union Gear and Sprocket in Quincy, MA. He was also a member of the Mason’s Plymouth Lodge, VFW, Shriner, member of the Plymouth Eastern Star, past patron of The Duxbury Chapter #219 Order of the Eastern Star and Dorothy Bradford Chapter 135 Order of the Eastern Star. In his free time he enjoyed doing carpentry work, he especially loved to watch movies acquiring over 2,000 DVD movies and spending time with his family. Burial will be at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday March 19th at 11 o’clock. A Service of Remembrance will be held also on Wednesday evening at 105 South Street in Plymouth at 7 PM. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers conations in his memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital (Burn Center), 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
