Obituary

Mark Leavitt, age 25 of passed away suddenly Monday March 3rd in Lancaster, PA. He was the beloved son of Scott and Debra (Harrison) Leavitt, and brother of Michael Harrison Leavitt, all of Brockton .Mark was the beloved grandson of Paul and Virginia (Gray) Leavitt of Abington and John and Joan (Harrison) Poreca of Plymouth. Mark is also survived his very special friend, Jamie Taylor of Littleton, Colorado; also several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins and many many friends.
Born in Quincy, MA., Mark moved to Brockton when he was 4.He attended Brookfield Elementary and North Junior High. Mark graduated from Brockton High School, Class of 2000.In high school; he played for Brockton High Soccer Team. He was also a member of the Taunton Eagles Soccer team. Mark was captain of the Stoughton Warriors Soccer team. During his youth Mark played for the Brookfield Little League and Brockton Youth Soccer League. He was a member of Cub Scout Pack 20 and Boy Scout Troop 20.Mark coached one year for the Brockton Youth Soccer.
In addition to soccer, Mark was a 4th generation Red Sox fan, also a avid New England Patriots Football fan, he also enjoyed snowboarding, the beach in the summer ,music and dancing.
Mark worked for Interbay Funding, in Mansfield, MA., as a commercial real estate paralegal, before moving to Denver Co. in 2007,to work for them and most recently moved to Lancaster, PA., where he worked for National Land services as a paralegal.

His funeral services will be held Monday March 10th at 10:00 AM , in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington, MA. Visitation will be held on Sunday March 9th from 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM.
