Willy Souphanthavong 25, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away Saturday, March 1st at the Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando, FL. He was the husband of Kristen Alexion. Willy was born in Woonsocket, the son of Thavisinh Souphanthavong and Mary Luangkhot of Woonsocket. He was a construction worker for the Walt Disney Co. in Orlando. He also worked for the Mr. David’s Construction Co. in RI before moving to Florida. Willy was a member of Florida Carpenters Union Local # 1765 and the Rhode Island Carpenters Union Local # 94.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons; Kaiden 7 and Carter who is six weeks old, and a sister Soumalinh Tran of Woonsocket. He was a loving father, husband, brother and son. Willy touched the lives of friends and family in so many ways and will be truly missed.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a cremation service to follow at East Bay Crematory, 901 Broadway East Providence. Visiting hours will be Friday 5-8 pm. Memorial donations in his name may be made at any Dean Bank location.
