WORCESTER-Dorothy J. (McQuaid) Haapakoski, 82, of Worcester, died Tuesday, March 4th in UMass Memorial Hospital. Her husband of 30 years, Donald A. Haapakoski, Sr. died in 1976. She leaves her son, Donald A. Haapakoski, Jr. and his wife Nancy Ellen (Rice) Haapakoski of Oakham; four sisters, Frances Campbell of Worcester, Connie Smith of Holden, Dolores Broderick and Rita and her husband Joseph DeSimone, all of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret McQuaid.
She was born in Shrewsbury, the daughter of Bernard and Josephine (Villa) McQuaid and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. Mrs. Haapakoski was employed by Worcester Brush Company for 20 years as an inspector until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
