Eleanor S. (Schultz) Willard of Dedham, formerly of Westwood, passed away March 5, 2008 at Traditions of Dedham. She was 93 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmund B. Willard.
Born in Amesbury, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Wall) Schultz. She was a graduate of Simmons College and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University. She also did graduate work at Middlebury College. She was a teacher in the Dedham schools for many years and was the Chairman of the English Dept. at Dedham Junior High School, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Fairbanks Garden Club, the Simmons Charles River Valley Club, the Glad Rags in Westwood, and was a volunteer for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
She was the devoted mother of Parker M. Willard and his wife Nancy of Dedham and grandmother of Katherine M. Willard and Parker M. Willard Jr. of Dedham, Michael E. Willard of Stoughton and Jennifer Kelly of Plymouth. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Esther Schultz and Alice Kukene.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Saturday at 9:30 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to mass from 8:30-9:30 AM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
