J. David “Georgia Cracker” Reynolds, 58, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 5 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, March 8, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 until 9, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Reynolds was born June 1, 1949, in Fulton County to the late J.D. and Mary Gertrude Brock Reynolds. He lived in the community most of his life and was a former employee for the cities of Fitzgerald and Ocilla, the Bay Station and Bull Dog Package Store both in Ocilla. Mr. Reynolds was a former volunteer fireman for the Irwin County, Ben Hill County and River Bend Volunteer Fire Departments and was a member the Ben Hill County Search & Rescue Team. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by four daughters, Jennifer Diane (Brian) Hollingsworth, Patricia Lynn (Krystal) Duncan and Wanda Sue Reynolds all of Fitzgerald and Kayla Marie Reynolds of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Callie, Ryan and Isaac; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie & Ricky Campbell of Athens and Glenda Faye & Bunk Maddox of Piedmont, AL; as well as a brother, Dewey Reynolds of Seattle, WA. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James David Reynolds, Jr.
