Annette Hall Griffin, 63, of Tifton died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Kevin Harris will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Randall Moore, Kenneth Moore, Tim Hall, Tony Hall, Terry Hall, Stan Mercer, Kevin Hall, Mike Hall, Brad Hall, Zack Watkins, and Joseph Carson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Anna Davis, Kim Smith, Inez Wilson, Geraldine Prince, Loretta Drummond, Emma Ellison, Licia Nicholson, Myrtis Meeks, Thelma Pettiford, Mickey Weldon, Mike Duck, Dr. Tisha Williams, Charlotte Engram, Angie Gottfried, Linda Horton, Stephanie Hembry, Karen Ireland, Tammy Barela and Jim Holman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 6, 2008, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Griffin was born on August 10, 1944 in Tift County and was the daughter of Kealous Hall of Tifton and the late, Annie Pearl Pitts Hall, who died in 2001. She was the lunchroom manager at J. T. Reddick Elementary School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tifton. She had lived in Tift County her entire life.
Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband, Nelson L. Griffin, Jr., of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Damon and Staci Griffin of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and David Giddings of Tifton and Karen and Kevin May of Tifton; onr brother-in-law and his wife, Roger Griffin and Paula Solar of Huntington, West Virginia; one sister-in-law and her husband, Cathy and Joe Carson of Leesburg; three brothers and their wives, Franklin and Sue Hall of Camilla, Billy and Beth Hall of Tifton and Carl and Deborah Hall of Tifton; three sisters and their husbands, Earline and Willie Moore of Tifton, Qunette and Buster Mercer of Tifton and Diane and Phil Dominy of Tifton; and four grandchildren, Haley May, Emily May, Rachel Griffin and Maggie Griffin.
