New Bedford – Milton E. Bradley, Sr., 74, of E. Freetown died after a long illness on March 3, 2008 at New Bedford Health Care Center. He was husband of the late Kathleen P. (Wedge) Bradley.
Mr. Bradley was born in Freetown, son of the late Raymond N. and Nellie I. (Pittsley) Bradley, and was a lifelong resident of the town. He worked as a self-employed mechanic until his illness in 2001. He loved hunting, playing pool, riding his motorcycle and his beagles.
Survivors include 4 daughters: Kathleen Gamage of New Bedford, Elaine Clark and her husband Myron of E. Freetown, Barbara DeMoranville and her husband Dennis, Jr. of E. Freetown and Lorraine Wardel of Cape Cod; 2 sons: Tony Bradley of E. Freetown and Raymond Bradley and his wife Dale of Lakeville; 3 brothers: Nelson Bradley and his wife Lea of New Bedford, Carlton Bradley and his wife Claire of E. Freetown and Russell Bradley and his wife Louella of New Bedford; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews; and his companion Vivian Millette.
He was father of the late Milton E. Bradley, Jr. and brother of the late Betty J. Bradley.
Visitation on Friday, March 7, 2008, 10:00-11:00 A.M. immediately followed by interment in Chace Cemetery, E. Freetown.
